A genuine holiday with a dog in the Allgäu is only complete when your four-legged companion is by your side. Bergsonne is the dog-friendly hotel at the Imberger Horn that does not just tolerate dogs, but truly welcomes them. We know that four paws often know more about relaxation than we humans do. When you roam the Allgäu Alps together, a rhythm emerges that grounds you both. It is the connection between human and dog that we celebrate in our house. We offer not just a room, but a home for four paws where everyone feels comfortable.

Your holiday starts completely uncomplicated with us. While you enjoy the benefits of our Smart Retreat, your four paws quickly find their favorite spot. We are convinced that a rhythm is only harmonious when all needs are met. That is why the best walking paths lead directly from the house into nature. When you are out with your dog, you feel how the four paws are in harmony with the ground. It is a rhythm that needs no words.

At Bergsonne, we redefine the togetherness of humans and animals. For us, the dog is not a working animal but a fully-fledged family member whose needs we take just as seriously as yours. Our hotel has therefore evolved into a specialised experience world that combines modern lifestyle with professional dog expertise. Dog training is available on request. We work with Peter, an experienced external trainer, and are happy to connect you with him directly. Best to reach out before your arrival, so we can align dates and content with him.

While your four-legged friend rests after an eventful morning, we offer you the space you need. Relax in our sauna or work focused at our co-working room. Bergsonne is a place for everyone, even solo travelers quickly find connection in our Lounge among like-minded animal lovers. We do not have our own dog daycare on site. If you need a few hours without your dog, we are happy to arrange care from an outside provider on request. It is best to discuss any special requests with us before your arrival.

Your dog costs 17.00 euros per night, food is not included. Assistance dogs are always welcome, and no fee applies for them. We accommodate up to 2 dogs per room, in every room category. You book your dog directly with us, this is not possible through a booking platform. If you have already booked through a portal and would like to bring your dog, just write to us and we will look at your case.

On request, we also work with Peter, an experienced external dog trainer, whose approach differs fundamentally from classic dog schools. Instead of training on isolated, fenced practice grounds, he uses the natural surroundings of the hotel as a living training space. His services include everyday and loose-leash training, impulse control, the targeted recognition and redirection of behavioural issues, as well as advice on enrichment activities for daily life. This holistic approach not only makes the exercises immediately relevant to your everyday life, but also creates an authentic learning atmosphere without artificial barriers.

The hotel lobby offers the perfect stage for relaxed togetherness amid distractions. In the lobby and on the terrace your dog practises staying calm on the leash even in company, and he is on the leash at breakfast too. We do not have our own restaurant, but we are happy to recommend places in the region. At the marketplace and in Alpen-Gluehen, our Finnish sauna, your dog stays outside. On the surrounding hiking trails we work with Peter, our external dog trainer, on obedience amid the lure of wild scents and encounters with other hikers, perhaps in preparation for your next shared bike tour?

Our focus is not solely on the dog's functioning. We especially care about strengthening the human-dog bond. It is precisely this bond that Peter, our external dog trainer, works on with great empathy, taking the trust and communication between you and your furry friend to a new level.

If you want to work intensively on your goals, we will connect you with Peter. He coordinates scope, dates and content directly with you. This training is not a service of our house, we provide the contact and the setting for it.

Working on behavioural issues requires flexibility and expertise. Through the flexible choice of locations within and around the hotel, we create exactly the situations you need for your individual progress. Thus a stay at Bergsonne becomes not only recovery, but a lasting milestone for your shared life.
