Yes. 11 of our 16 rooms are accessible, room 7 and rooms 11 to 20. The showers have no step, they are almost flush with a slight drip edge of 7 mm, all passages are at least 81 cm wide, and everything inside is on one level, with generous turning circles. We provide aids such as a shower chair, toilet seat raiser, mobile grab bars, or rollator on site, as a package for 95,00 Euro per week, regardless of scope. Please tell us your needs directly when booking, so everything is prepared for your arrival.

Almost all. Inside the house, everything is on one level, the elevator provides step-free access to all floors and is also suitable for electric wheelchairs, and all public areas are wheelchair accessible. There are two exceptions: the outdoor parking spaces at the house, which are on a slight slope, and our Alpen-Glühen, the Finnish sauna. You can park on level ground opposite the hotel in the public parking spaces or in the underground car park, both are subject to a fee. And a sauna visit with mobility restrictions must be arranged in advance with Elke Müller at +49-171-1979017.

Our 8 hotel parking spaces are on a slight slope and are therefore only partially suitable if you have limited mobility. You can park on level ground opposite the hotel in the public parking spaces or in the underground car park, both are subject to a fee, the underground car park costs 15,00 Euro and can be booked upon request. If you like, we can reserve a fixed hotel parking space at the house for you for 7,50 Euro.

Yes. Our elevator provides step-free access to all floors and is also suitable for electric wheelchairs. The cabin measures 110 x 140 cm, the door is 90 cm wide, and the load capacity is 630 kg or 8 people. The labeling in the elevator is also available in Braille.

We do not have a tactile guidance system, and Braille is exclusively found in the elevator, the other house information is not in Braille. However, the signage throughout the house is well readable and designed with high contrast, all areas you can use are brightly and glare-free lit, and the stairs have at least a handrail on one side. Assistance dogs are welcome here. If you can't find your way anywhere, just let us know.

Yes. Assistance dogs are welcome here, and there is no fee for them. All other dogs are possible with direct bookings, for which we charge 17.00 Euro per night. If you booked through a platform, we will record your dog as a case and our team will decide individually. Please let us know in advance if you are arriving with an assistance dog, so everyone in the house is aware.

Yes. Our Co-Working area is accessible, approximately 20 sqm in size, and comfortably accommodates 4 people. It is equipped with flipcharts, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a printer station, but there is no projector. You can book it via Lio, for 39 Euro per day, without time limits, even on weekends and outside our business hours. You use the same room for meetings. For larger groups, we do not have a dedicated room in the house, but we are happy to recommend suitable locations in the area.

All other public areas in the house are wheelchair accessible.

We cannot currently offer hearing amplifiers, and we also do not have an inductive hearing system or a wake-up service for guests with hearing impairments. What helps you: The flat-screen TV in the room has a soundbar that you can control individually via Bluetooth. The Wi-Fi is open and free, there is a free power outlet next to the bed, and in the house, you will find tables with bright, glare-free lighting and low ambient noise. An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is only confirmed acoustically; as an alternative, there are stairs.

The hotel entrance has no steps, you roll into the house without a threshold. Inside everything is on one level too: the lift serves all floors and all public areas are wheelchair accessible. Please let us know in advance that you are arriving in a wheelchair, then we will put out a ramp for you wherever one is needed.

We do not have a pool. Our Alpen-Glühen, a Finnish sauna, is only partially accessible: Entering with a wheelchair works without problems, but the higher seating benches are not accessible. For excursions, we have been working with SeniorXperts, a specialized transport service, for many years. You can find all details and contact options at https://www.seniorxperts.de. For shorter distances, there are taxis in Sonthofen, for example Sonthofer Taxi at +49 8321 4040 or Taxi Allgäu Drive at +49 8321 5000. We do not have our own transport service.

Yes. Just tell us what you need, and we will work together to see what can be arranged. Elke Müller is an intensive care specialist and will advise you; her husband Jörg is also on site. The sooner we know about your needs, the better we can prepare for them.

We cannot lend you a wheelchair with an electric drive. On site, we have a wheelchair and a care wheelchair. The care wheelchair is adjustable in all directions and has leg rests and a tray, but it does not have an electric drive. Additional wheelchairs and aids that we do not have in the house can be obtained from Rehacenter Sonthofen, www.rehacenter-sonthofen.de. We provide our on-site aids as a package, for 95.00 Euro per week, regardless of the scope. It is best to request them directly when booking.

Yes, that is possible. With us, you have a calm base for your stay. The treatment itself is carried out by Feriendialyse Immenstadt, https://www.dialyse-immenstadt.de/; we do not offer dialysis in the house. It is best to arrange appointments early, then both will fit together well.

You do not need a baby monitor with us, because children are welcome from the age of 5 and we do not host babies or toddlers. Because of the way the house is built, a baby monitor would not work reliably here either.

We do not have a classic in-room emergency call system. Instead, we will arrange a simple solution with you: a message via mobile phone to +49-171-1979017. You can reach Elke or Jörg Müller there. In a life-threatening emergency, please dial 112 first and then report it to this number.

Cooling and heating are possible, but unfortunately, storing items in the Maxibar is not. You can cool your medication in the guest refrigerator; please label it with your room number and name. For heating, a microwave is available at the Marktplatz around the clock, as well as a kettle, both free of charge. Storing your own food, drinks, or medication in the Maxibar is not permitted due to hygiene reasons and official regulations.

Yes, you can get pureed food from us upon request, free of charge. Please notify us of your needs in advance, either by email to servus@bergsonne-allgaeu.de or directly to Lio, then everything will be prepared for you for breakfast.

We do not have an in-house nursing service, and we do not provide nursing care; we are not a medical facility. Independent nursing services in and around Sonthofen are currently difficult to find, so please inquire yourself early. In the rooms, you will find a private bathroom with a shower and toilet; there is no bathtub there. However, a mobile bathtub is available in the sauna area. Guests with dementia are very welcome here. The only important thing is: We are not a medical facility and not a nursing hotel; we do not provide nursing care. Supervision and care are therefore entirely the responsibility of the accompanying persons. Our house is designed as a Silent Retreat, and tranquility is part of it. We are happy to provide drinking cups and metal straws. We do not have any other special tableware in the house, so simply bring along the utensils you are used to. We take care of cleaning them so they are ready again for the next meal.

Physiotherapy may be possible in our house after prior arrangement. We do not offer speech therapy or occupational therapy. Please contact your therapists or practices in Sonthofen in good time for these services. Appointments in the region are scarce, so early planning is worthwhile.
