I'm at the hotel entrance and want to get to my room. How do I get in?

Accepted Answer

You don't need to download an app. On your arrival day, you'll receive a confirmation email with your PIN-Code. This PIN-Code grants you access to the hotel, your room, and all public areas.

Do I need to download an app to stay with you?

Accepted Answer

We use a 'Progressive Web App'. You'll receive a link via SMS/email that opens like a website but offers all the functionalities of an app (door opening, chat, invoice). This works instantly on any smartphone.

Question 3

Can I pay with cash?

Accepted Answer

To make processes as seamless as possible for you (e.g., automatic check-out, Honesty Bar), we only accept digital payments (credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal). We cannot accept cash on-site.

Who is Lio, anyway? Is it a person or a robot?

Accepted Answer

Lio is the heart of our digital concept. It's based on advanced AI technology to save you waiting times. It can make reservations, split bills, and offer tips. But we're not a ghost town: Our real people are on-site daily, taking care of breakfast and readily available for complex issues or emergencies.

Does Lio always listen in the room? I want privacy.

Accepted Answer

Data protection is part of our quality promise. There are no permanently active microphones in the rooms (like with Alexa/Siri). Lio communicates primarily via your own smartphone or the tablet, which you must actively operate. All data is processed in compliance with GDPR and anonymized after your departure (except for legal invoice data).

I took a drink and a snack from the Maxibar. Where do I pay for it? There's no waiter here.

We live by the 'Weggefährten' principle (fellow traveler). Our Honesty Bar is open 24/7. You take what you want.

You scan the QR code at the Maxibar and enter your room number and name. Then you can specify the products you took and pay with your mobile phone. It's that simple.

The Hotel Bergsonne Allgäu is easily accessible by a combination of plane, train, car, or on foot. Please note that public transport is only available to a limited extent. Is there an airport or train station transfer?

Yes, we offer a pick-up and drop-off service to Sonthofen train station. You are welcome to book this service with us for your arrival or departure. Please contact us by email at servus@bergsonne-allgaeu.de.

How far is the Hotel Bergsonne Allgäu from the train station?

Accepted Answer

Sonthofen train station is only 3.5 km from our hotel. Our transfer service will bring you comfortably directly to us. Please contact us by email at servus@bergsonne-allgaeu.de.

Arrival is possible from 3:00 PM. If you wish to arrive earlier or later, please contact us in advance of your arrival by email at servus@bergsonne-allgaeu.de. It is possible to request an Early-CheckIn when booking.

If you have a valid access code, you can check in independently from 3:00 PM onwards.

By what time do I need to check out?

Accepted Answer

To ensure we have enough time to perfectly prepare the rooms for subsequent guests, we kindly ask you to vacate your room by 10:30 AM on the day of departure. If you wish to depart later and use the room after 10:30 AM, please contact us in advance of your arrival via email at servus@bergsonne-allgaeu.de. Please note that you will not be able to re-enter the room after 10:30 AM as you will have been automatically checked out.

Is a late check-out available?

If you wish to depart later than 10:00 AM and still use the room, please contact us in advance of your arrival via email at servus@bergsonne-allgaeu.de. You can also add a later check-out when making your booking.

Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival, otherwise 50% from the 6th day until arrival, 90% for no-shows.
